Everyone inside and outside the legal field certainly remembers the story of the woman who spilled McDonald’s coffee on herself and then sued for millions of dollars. The media’s version of the story became the butt of numerous late night talk show jokes as well as the personification of the greedy litigant. But as it turns out, the real reason she sued is far from funny.

Now the real facts behind the case has finally come out. Take a look at : Hot Coffee.

The documentary tells the “other side of the story”. Actually, its the facts of what actually happened.

The documentary has won numerous prestigious awards and is currently playing on HBO. A DVD will be available in November of this year and will probably be available on Netflix as well.

We are hoping that the documentary (which was made on a non-profit basis) will help to change erroneous preconceptions in many people's minds a that ANY case that comes to trial is "frivolous". I have eliminated many potential jurors who think that but I am never certain that jurors may think that and not disclose it. This documentary will help show people that a case which was portrayed as "frivolous" by the insurance industry was actually serious and meritorious.
